Ingredients

QuantityIngredient
2 cupsAll-purpose flour
2 tspBaking powder
1/2 tspSalt
3/3 cupCold water
1 tbspVegetable oil
Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Place dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) in a bowl and mix.
  2. Add cold water and tablespoon of oil to dry ingredients.
  3. Mix until it all comes together. Then let stand for 20 minutes.
  4. At the same time bring about 3/4 inch of oil up to about 375 degrees (or medium-high heat) in a high walled pan.
  5. Pinch off about a golf ball size piece of the dough and roll out like a tortilla in a floured surface.
  6. Once rolled then poke holes with a fork a handful of times throughout the dough.
  7. Place into oil and cook until light brown on each side.
