Ingredients

2 cups | Hibiscus |
6 cups | Water |
1/2 cup | Sugar (or to taste) |
Notes
- The amount of water does not have to be exact. You can use more water if needed.
- The sugar amount is also to taste. It was preferred to be sweeter in my house and I am sure I used more than the 1/2 cup.
- Save the steeped hibiscus flowers for a vegetarian dish like vegetarian birria
Directions
- Bring water to a light boil.
- Turn off heat and add the hibiscus flowers to the pot.
- Steep for 15 minutes.
- Remove hibiscus flowers.
- Sweeten to taste.
