- Large deep sided pan with lid.
Ingredients

2 cups | Long grain rice |
1/8 cup | Vegetable oil |
3 oz | Tomato paste |
8 oz | Tomato sauce |
2-3 | Garlic cloves |
4 cups | Water |
1 tsp | Salt |
1/4 tsp | Black pepper |
1 tbsp | Chicken bouillon |
1/4 tsp | Cumin powder |
1/4 tsp | Garlic powder |
Directions
- Heat oil in a large pan that has a lid on medium heat (about 40% flame).
- Add rice to the pan and lightly brown the rice, continuously stirring.
- Add the garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 min.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, being careful when adding liquids as it will stem.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover with lid and lower to a simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Fluff rice, mixing all the deliciousness that remained on the top of the rice
